Library electronic resources are accessible off-campus by eligible PolyU students, faculty, staff, and Library Card Holders. Library users with valid user accounts may access from off campus to a variety of Library subscribed resources including e-journals, databases, e-books and other materials. You may also access via OneSearch search engine.
Note: Effective 21 March 2022, eligible PolyU students and staff who access Library e-Resources via campus Wi-Fi (i.e. PolyUWLAN or Student Hall’s Wi-Fi) will have to first authenticate themselves with NetID and NetPassword, which aligns with how they access e-Resources from off-campus. The new implementation will strengthen the information security and deter excessive download activities which may result in the suspension of access for PolyU as a whole by the e-Resources providers.
Access Requirement
Due to license restriction, off-campus access to e-resources are varies from each resources. Most of them are limited to eligible PolyU students, faculty and staff only. Please see the database pages for access rights for each resource. You may access resrouces based on the combination of your user type and type of resources (A type, P type or Without access restriction).
Access Procedures
via Library Proxy Service (EZProxy)
You may visit the database webpages or search link directed from OneSearch. After clicking the link that direct you to the resources, you will be prompt for PolyU NetID and NetPassword for authentication. After successful authentication, you will be able to access the resources directly.
