The measure for research excellence is crucial to universities aspiring to compete for prominence among the research intensive universities of the world. To transform their research, universities could measure and monitor the widely accepted measures of research performance such as scholarly output and citation counts. In this talk, Prof. Khor will share on Nanyang Technological University’s journey in transforming research as well as his findings on bibliometrics analysis on the research outputs of institutions in Hong Kong.
K.A. Khor is a professor at School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and currently served as the Director of Research Support Office & Bibliometrics Analysis in NTU. He has published over 265 peer reviewed journal articles which have received ~9200 citations (h-index = 51). In his current role, he conducts various studies on research trends of technological fields.
