The Silk Road, traversing thousands of years, is like a time tunnel that connects the Eurasian continent, tightly linking China and the Mediterranean region of Europe.

Imagine the sound of camel bells as merchants and travellers journeyed along sandy paths, carrying silk, spices, tea, and gems. More than just a trade route, the Silk Road was a vibrant stage for the exchange of art, religion, and scientific knowledge. Every traveller who embarked on the Silk Road contributed to the integration of cultures and ideas, leaving a deep and valuable legacy for human history.

This exhibition presents a curated selection of Chinese and English research works, highlighting the diverse facets of the Silk Road through themes, such as cultural exchange, historical geography, architectural heritage, and trade routes. We hope visitors will be able to fully understand the deep historical and cultural importance of the Silk Road. We sincerely invite you to explore the exhibition and discover the remarkable heritage and diverse cultures that the Silk Road facilitated.
