The Library is here to support your additional studying needs during the Revision & Examination Period from 14 Apr to 13 May 2025.
Extended Opening Hours to 24:00
During this period, the Library will open from 08:30 to 24:00, Monday through Sunday. Counter services will be available until 22:00 on weekdays (Monday - Friday) and until 19:00 on weekends (Saturday - Sunday) and public holidays.
To make necessary arrangement for after-hour access, all users will be required to leave the 24-Hour Study Centre 15 minutes before the Library Counter closes. Once the clearance procedure is complete, only current PolyU/CPCE staff and students enrolled on programmes leading to PolyU/PolyU-SPEED/PolyU-HKCC awards can enter the Centre via the entrance at 1/F North Wing opposite to the Campus Control Centre (P111).
Study Carrels for Quiet Study
Study carrels for individual quiet study are available at G/F South Wing, 3/F South Wing, 4/F South Wing and 5/F.
Freeing up Seats with Unattended Personal Belongings
Please be considerate to the needs of fellow students who are also studying for examinations. Do not reserve seats with personal belongings. When seat occupancy is high during peak hours, Library staff will place a reminder at desks with unattended personal belongings. If the desk remains unoccupied after a specified period, Library staff will remove the unattended belongings to free up the desk for other users. Removed personal belongings can be claimed from the P/F Service Counter. Unclaimed items will be sent to the security after counter closing time.
Examination Paper Database to Help with Revision
Reviewing past papers can help familiarise you with question formats and timing different types of questions. The PolyU Examination Paper Database collects digital copies of examination papers from academic departments of the University. Availability depends on each department's submission.
Priority for PolyU Students in Using Library Study Space
The Library will implement the Limited Access Arrangement for JULAC Student Card Holders to restrict access for students from other universities before 19:00. As other local university libraries may have similar arrangement during their examination period, please check their webpages if you plan to visit them.
