Access control system upgrade at Library entrance will be conducted from 20 Jul – 16 Aug 2015. A temporary guard post and entrance will be set up right next to Library exit and please swipe your card at the temporary entrance.

Noise is unavoidable from the floor excavation work and ceiling installation work during the work period. We will try to shorten the noisy work duration and minimize the disturbance. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please approach the nearest counter if you need assistance.

Scheduled network maintenance for Library on 20 Jun 2015 (Tuen Ng Festival) from 0900 to 1500

Please note that there will be a scheduled network maintenance for the whole Library building on 20 Jun 2015 (Tuen Ng Festival) from 09:00 to 15:00. Network services (e.g. WiFi, internet) in the Library including 24-hour study centre will not be available during the mentioned period while the rest of the Library will be closed on that day.

Book Exhibition / 開卷八分鐘

The Book Exhibition located on the P/F of the Library showcases the best sellers, popular titles and books introduced by a TV programme 開卷八分鐘 (Eight Minutes Reading). All PolyU staff and students are welcome to drop by and borrow the displayed titles they interested in. The exhibition will last until 14 Aug 2015.

3D Printing - Booking Policy Update wef 1 Jun 2015

To allow the best use of the new 3D printing service, the morning appointment session will be changed to 10:00-10:30am with effect from 1 Jun 2015.  No show within 15 minutes, the booked appointment will be automatically cancelled and released to other users.  For more details, please refer to the 3D Printing webpage.

Temporary Closure of Front Staircase and Hallways (22 May - 17 Jun)

Front staircase and nearby hallways from G/F to 5/F will be temporarily closed in selected periods for re-painting work from 22 May – 17 Jun 2015. Notices will be posted at the affected areas to indicate the alternative routes for accessing different floors. Paint smell may be emitted during the work period and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please approach the nearest counter if you need assistance.
