About the seminar
Two topics will be presented :
1. Science publishing – Recent trends and implications for research
New opportunities for researchers to collaborate and share research, as well as to manage their research portfolio will be addressed. An introduction and overview to open access publishing and how Elsevier is working together with the research community will be given.
2. Innovation in science publishing and trends in open access and research data
This part of the seminar will discuss how tools, such as Mendeley, is providing new opportunities for researchers to collaborate and share research. An update of how Elsevier is working with open access publishing and the issue of sharing of research data will be given.
About the speaker
Dr Anders Karlsson is the Vice President, Global Academic Relations, at Elsevier. He works in a global team engaging with key academic and governmental stakeholders to support and strengthen their research and innovation capabilities. Dr Karlsson also holds an advisory position at the Institute of Academic Initiatives at Osaka University, Japan.
