Drinks in spill-proof containers are now allowed in the Library!

To create a more relaxing environment, the Library implements a new drink policy with effect from 8 November 2019. Non-alcoholic drinks in spill-proof containers are now permitted in all study areas of the Library. For details, please refer to the Library Food & Drink Policy.

Located in the Group Study Zone 1 (G/F) of the Library, the Stretching Corner can help you recharge and in turn, boost your attention span and learning performance through these facilities: 

  • Videos on stress relief
  • Soothing music
  • Comfortable sofas for relaxing and resting
#All students and staff are welcome to visit the Stretching Corner. No reservation is required. Please be considerate, share and enjoy the relaxing space with one another, keep clean, and put the headphone back to its original position after use.

The Games include Archery in Virtual Reality, pose matching challenge by Move Mirror, etc.

About the speaker:

Victoria Babbit is the Director of Researcher Development and Outreach at Taylor & Francis. Victoria joined Taylor & Francis in 2008 and throughout the past decade has supported societies, editors and authors in the region as they navigate the rapidly changing publishing landscape. In collaboration with the library community and academic institutions, she is actively engaged in building capacity and ensuring publishing success through courses and workshops for early career researchers. Prior to joining Taylor & Francis, Victoria pursued a PhD in Geography, focusing on migration, at the University of Washington in Seattle.
