Open House for Digital Makerspace

Experiment easy-to-use digital equipment in the Digital Makerspace such as 3D printers, 3D scanners, Internet of Things & Virtual Reality.

As part of the open house, a series of insightful talks have been organized to showcase the possibilities brought by popular technology.

  • Introduction of 3D Food Printing & Demo
    Time: 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Come witness how technology changes the way food is served and presented – on bread!  This talk is made possible with the collaboration with HKT Education.

  • FDM 3D Printing Demo
    Time: 2:30 – 3:30 pm

Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology is the most common 3D printing method these days. Come to find out and learn more about what you can do with 3D printing.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) Demo
    Time: 3:30 – 4:30 pm

From smartphones to the sensors on the roads,  IoT has impacted our lives much more than we realized. Come to find out how to connect a network of physical devices to build a smart electric fan.

Waterproofing work for exterior wall (4 Oct – 20 Oct 2017)

Waterproofing work will be carried out at exterior wall of South Wings near lift lobby area and scaffolding will be erected at the void. Noise is unavoidable from the hacking off works. We apologize for any inconvenience and noise that may cause.
