In this seminar, Dr Antigoni Messaritaki, Senior Publisher in Physics and Biomedical journal portfolios, will guide you through the process of publishing in IOP journals.
The IOP Publishing Transformative Agreements (TA) is one of the many agreements signed by the Library to facilitate open access (OA) publishing. In the second part, Dr Darren TY Zheng, who made use of the full APC waiver to publish two OA articles in IOP journals, will share his first-hand experience with us.

About the Speakers:
Dr Antigoni Messaritaki, the Senior Publisher of IOP Publishing, is leading the strategic and editorial development of Physics and Biomedical journal portfolios, including Machine Learning Science and Technology, Quantum Science and Technology and Biofabrication.
Dr Messaritaki is a physicist with a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Bristol University, UK. Before joining IOP Publishing, she worked at Bath University as a postdoctoral researcher.
Dr Darren TY Zheng is a postdoctoral researcher at PolyU, focusing on electrode materials of rechargeable batteries, battery health monitoring, and real-time battery sensing.
In 2021, Dr Zheng completed his doctorate in PolyU and received the “PolyU Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship'.
