This publishing seminar is targeted at early to mid-career researchers who wish to develop their expertise and understanding on the publishing process for academic journals.

About the Speaker:

Dr Rebecca Ciezarek, the Journal Publishing Manager at Wiley, is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Humanities and Social Sciences journals, helping direct journal strategy, and providing guidance on journal publishing best practice and business-related issues. Rebecca also oversees partnership development activities in Australia, building relationships with scholarly societies and professional associations.

Prior to joining Wiley, Rebecca was a lecturer and tutor at Victoria University, Melbourne, completing her PhD in 2016.

24-Hour Study Centre Resumes Overnight Access Effective 11 April 2022

With the commencement of the Library’s revision and examination period, the 24-Hour Study Centre located at 1/F North Wing will open around the clock with effect from 11 April 2022. During the overnight access period, users are required to access the Centre via the 1/F entrance opposite to the Campus Control Centre (P111) and tap their PolyU student / staff ID cards when entering and leaving the Centre. Dr Xia obtained her PhD in ecological economics from the University of East Anglia, where her research focuses on quantitative assessment of the socioeconomic impacts of health outcomes resulting from disasters such as heat-waves and air pollution. She had a BSc in economics and a MSc in sustainability, both from the University of Leeds.

Dr. Yu-Ru (Wallis) Liu received PhD of Genetics from the University of Nottingham in the UK. Later, she carried out her postdoctoral research in developmental biology in the University of Dundee in the UK and cancer research in the University of Rochester in the US, respectively. Her broad interests and knowledge of science brought her to JoVE. As a Curriculum Specialist, Wallis is looking forward to dedicating her comprehensiveness in tailoring the best material for you to be successful in teaching and research.
