Power Extension Panels at Study Tables
- Printer Partition on P/F
- New Study Space in former Exhibition Hall
The Library fully understands users’ need for power supply in the Library for supporting their use of notebook and other mobile devices. Before we can obtain the government funding support for the Library Extension and Revitalization Project for upgrading the entire Library building, we will try to provide power extension panels at some study tables, where possible, as an interim measure. Users can make use of these panels for power supply and they should be mindful with their power cables to avoid tripping hazard to others. And users are reminded not to unplug our equipment for power supply as this will affect users in using Library facilities. |
To avoid noise disturbances to nearby users, a partition has been installed at the printer and copier area on P/F.
In order to make room for more study space for more students under the new 4-year curriculum, the former Exhibition Hall has been converted to a study area with study tables and some sofa chairs, providing 66 seats. Minor display is presented at a small corner of the area where users can relax and learn. Since the conversion, it has become one of the most popular study areas in the Library, especially during examination period.
