- The Library's Online Streaming Video Databases
Online streaming video databases from Alexander Street Press are the largest video databases in the Library with a particular focus on research and classroom use. The videos can be shared via embeddable links. Users can create their own annotated playlists and clips, and also can include links to other resources outside of the collection. Users should set up an individual account before they can send items from these databases to a mobile device.

The Library provides around 280 online videos for the study of social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling. These videos include counseling sessions and demonstrations, consultations, lectures, presentations, and interviews. Many videos include supplementary materials for classroom use.
It is a unique online collection of videos created specifically for the education and training of nurses, nursing assistants, and other healthcare workers. All of the videos in the collection have been created with the guidance of the Medcom-Trainex advisory board, and are regularly reviewed for accuracy, currency, and compliance with US Federal regulations from agencies such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The Library currently has 266 videos in its collection.
The collection contains approximately 250 important opera performances, captured on video through staged productions, interviews, and documentaries. Selections represent the world's leading performers, conductors and opera houses, and are based on a work's importance to the operatic canon.
The Library has 272 streaming videos which contain performances of the world's leading plays and film documentaries on the subject of theater. Interviews with directors, designers, writers, and actors, along with excerpts of live performances, provide illustration of the development of texts and the productions. The collection includes the complete works of Shakespeare as produced by the BBC and other theatrical companies.
