The Library is very pleased to announce Miss Ann Au is promoted to Associate Librarian (Administration) with effect from 1 January 2013. In her new position, Ann will oversee the Management Support Section, the Access Services Section as well as the e-Learning Section. |
- Welcome New Librarian

Mr Wayne Lam has just joined the Library as Systems Librarian on 14 January 2013. He will assist to manage and develop the integrated library system, discovery services and access control to electronic resources. Together with the Systems team members, he will participate in exploring emerging Internet and information technologies and will take an active role in the long term strategic planning for the Library’s future information technology needs.

- Tribute to Long-serving Staff
A total of 13 Library staff received the Long Service Award at the University's Award held on 18 January 2013 in appreciation of their loyal service to the University over the years. They are:

- Librarian Exchange Program

The aim of the Librarian Exchange Program is to support professional development and strengthen collaborations between academic libraries in China and the PolyU Library. This year, we are pleased to have Ms Jane Jiang Jinghua (姜靜華), Subject Librarian from The Shanghai Jiaotong University visited our Library. Jane has spent a month at our Information Services Section. She has also met librarians and other staff members in different sections.
Jane has made a presentation on 7 December 2012 where she introduced the Library Services at Shanghai Jiaotong University Library and how subject librarians support and promote faculty and student research. Her sharing allowed us to learn more academic libraries in China.
