- PolyU Students Won the Second International EconBiz Student Competition 2014
The PolyU Library has joined the EconBiz Partner Network since 2014. To promote the use of EconBiz, a search portal for economics developed by the German National Library of Economics (ZBW), PolyU students were invited to participate in the Second International EconBiz Student Competition held from 17 to 30 Mar 2014.
Among the numerous participants from the EconBiz partner countries, Mr Oscar Poon, a PolyU student, has won the 1st Place of this international competition. Two national winners in Hong Kong are also from PolyU as listed below:
Poon Sheung Kuen, Oscar (1st Place International and National Winner)
Wong Pui Yan, Ophelia (2nd Place National Winner)
Cheung Man Yin, Jeremy(3rd Place National Winner)The national winners will be presented with a certificate award and a medal, while the international winner with an iPad mini. Congratulations!

- The Wall of Wishes - a Hit in PolyU Community
During the revision and examination period, over a thousand students posted their heart-warming messages on the newly established Wall of Wishes in the Library on the P/F. Thank you for sharing words of encouragement and motivation to cheer each other on. May all your wishes come true! |

In her new book The Luxury Alchemist, Ms Ketty Pucci-Sisti Maisonrouge, the founder of KM & Co., uncovered her success stories of brand building for leading luxury companies like Hermès, Daniel Boulud and Vera Wang. More than 40 staff and students attended the inspiring book talk. At the end of her presentation, Maisonrouge signed the library’s copy of her book and Dr Shirley Wong, University Librarian, presented a souvenir to her. The audience also brought their own copies and had autographed copies at the spot. |
